Problems seen in transactional messages

The Spamhaus Project describes how their spamtraps detect unsolicited bulk email and presents three case studies showing organizations that repeatedly sent transactional and marketing messages to spamtrap addresses despite SMTP rejections. The report highlights poor bounce processing, misuse of transactional addresses for marketing, and lack of list hygiene as root causes that lead to SBL listings and unwanted spam classification.
