Long-time spammer Brian "Dr. HGH" McDaid and his company Sili Neutraceuticals were tracked by Spamhaus for a global spam campaign promoting unproven and potentially dangerous health products. The FTC obtained a civil judgment in 2007, and in 2011 McDaid pled guilty to criminal CAN-SPAM charges and was sentenced to two years in prison plus one year of probation.
