Identity Behind Massive Discord Spying Tool Revealed due to Infostealer Infection

Hudson Rock investigated spy.pet (rebranded as spy.pm), an anonymously-run site that reportedly exposes Discord messages for hundreds of millions of users; researchers found the owner’s computer infected by a Raccoon infostealer which exfiltrated thousands of credentials — including sensitive infrastructure credentials — enabling attribution of the owner and raising concern that the site’s claimed 300M-user dataset may have been accessed or sold to other hackers.
