Infostealer Infected Computers Could Lead to Cybercriminal Arrests After Exchanges Takedown

German authorities seized 47 cryptocurrency exchange domains linked to ransomware gangs and other criminal activity; Hudson Rock analysis of the seized domains identified over 900 systems infected with infostealers that stored credentials for those exchanges, and AI-enabled analysis of device data (autofill, browsing history, credentials) could help investigators identify users and link them to ransomware groups, enabling further law enforcement action.
