Pccomponentes faced a viral claim of a hack after a threat actor sold a sample database; investigation determined it was credential stuffing using credentials harvested from Infostealer logs (some dating to 2020–2021) rather than a direct server breach, enabling account access and exposure of customer PII and creating significant PR damage.
