The US government warns that Russia state hackers are coming after your router

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and allied governments warn that Russian FSB-affiliated actors (tracked as groups such as Berserk Bear and others) are actively mass-compromising poorly configured home and small-office routers worldwide by scanning for SNMP agents that accept default/common credentials; attackers enroll devices into botnets and use them as proxy networks to obscure nefarious activity against sensitive public- and private-sector organizations.
