A Negative SEO Attack and Preemptive Defense: A Marketing Use Case

This report describes a coordinated negative SEO attack in which an industrial-scale Black Hat SEO operator (“Superman SEO”, Telegram @seo7878) directed thousands of spammy backlinks (hundreds to thousands of domains, many with shared Cloudflare nameserver fingerprints) at the author’s domain; the write-up covers detection via Ahrefs, scoring and clustering of suspicious domains, mass disavowal, automation to preemptively identify new registrations from the actor’s infrastructure, and a Zynia Labs investigation linking the operation to a large domain network and observed cryptocurrency flows.
