An Introduction to the Cairo Programming Language

This report provides an introductory technical overview of Starknet and the Cairo language, explaining the roles of the Sequencer, Prover, and Verifier, Cairo's primitive "felt" type and memory model, built-ins and implicit arguments, hints and test functions, common smart contract design patterns (library imports, access control, proxy upgradeability), and planned improvements in Cairo 1.0.
