November 2022 Monthly Report

November 2022 saw 36 major Web3 security incidents with unusually high losses driven primarily by the $477M FTX hack; other significant events included a ~$28M Derbit hot-wallet compromise, a ~$18.5M FLARE token exit scam, an estimated $6M in flashloan-related losses (notably ~$5M at DFX Finance), and multiple Discord/NFT phishing incidents. Overall the month featured an increase in average loss per attack and a spike in exit scams, while flashloan and Discord/NFT incidents showed shifting patterns compared to prior months.
