Applying the CIS Controls to Real‑World AI Environments

CIS, in collaboration with Astrix Security and Cequence Security, published three Companion Guides (AI LLM, AI Agent, and MCP) that extend the CIS Critical Security Controls to address AI-specific risks—covering model inputs/outputs, agent autonomy/memory, and protocol/tool interactions—and provide practical, prioritized guidance for securing AI systems in production.
