CIS Benchmarks September 2024 Update

CIS announced updates and new releases of security configuration Benchmarks and Build Kits, including the final update for Apache Cassandra 3.11 (v1.2.0), updates for Cassandra 4.0 (v1.1.0) and Microsoft Windows Server 2016 STIG (v3.0.0), and new Benchmarks for Cassandra 4.1 (v1.0.0), Apache Tomcat 10.1 (v1.0.0), FreeBSD 14 (v1.0.0), Google ChromeOS (v1.0.0), and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (v1.0.0). New Build Kits for AlmaLinux 9, RHEL 9, Rocky Linux 9, and Oracle Linux 9 (all v2.0.0) support all profiles with enhanced scripts and demonstrated post-remediation PASS rates over 94% in CIS-CAT Pro assessments. The update also invites community contributions across a range of technologies.
