Impact of Federal Funding Cuts to the Value of MS-ISAC CTI

MS-ISAC assesses that federal funding cuts and a shift to a fee-based model have had minimal—and in some aspects positive—impact on its cyber threat intelligence by expanding and diversifying telemetry (e.g., >1,100 Albert sensors and ~300,000 CIS MDR endpoints), consolidating collection and analysis within a new Threat Intelligence Platform for automated enrichment and dissemination, pruning stale sources to reduce false positives, and refocusing on internally sourced products like Operational Cyber Analytic Reports; combined with continued (though reduced) federal collaboration, these efforts have improved the timeliness, relevance, and value of CTI for U.S. SLTT members.
