CIS Benchmarks Monthly Update October 2025

CIS announced updates to its security configuration Benchmarks—namely, Google Android v1.6.0 (alignment with iOS guidance and community-driven recommendations), Microsoft Windows Server 2016 v4.0.0 (new and revised settings reflecting updated ADMX templates), and Oracle MySQL 8.0 Enterprise Edition v1.5.0 (error fixes and FIPS/password-related backports)—and released new Benchmarks for FortiGate 7.4.x v1.0.0 and Sophos Firewall v21 v1.0.0. Downloads are available in PDF, with additional formats for CIS SecureSuite Members. CIS also calls for SMEs to contribute to ongoing Benchmark development and warns that the Zoom, Check Point Firewall, and Bottlerocket Benchmarks will be archived on October 10, 2025 without renewed expert support.
