CIS Hardened Images: Reconciling Cloud Security and Services

CIS reports that its Linux CIS Hardened Images have been validated for compatibility with Microsoft Azure Monitor Agent (with full functionality after minor permission and network-scope adjustments) and Azure Update Manager (requiring relaxation of the default user shell timeout control to enable update operations). Azure Monitor Agent is now included in ongoing pre-release validation to prevent regressions, Azure Update Manager currently supports 35 CIS Hardened Images, and CIS invites user feedback as it continues testing to balance security and functionality.
