Proofpoint Completes Acquisition of Hornetsecurity

Proofpoint announced it has completed the acquisition of Hornetsecurity, a leading pan-European provider of AI-powered Microsoft 365 security, data protection, compliance, and security awareness solutions for MSPs and SMBs, expanding Proofpoint’s human- and agent-centric security platform and European market reach. The transaction, valued at $1.8B, will establish Hornetsecurity as a dedicated business unit led by founder Daniel Hofmann, with customers and partners benefiting from combined resources, shared threat intelligence, and continued focus on scalable, multi-tenant protection via 365 Total Protection.
