**Proofpoint** announced the acquisition of **Acuvity**, expanding its human- and agent-centric security platform with AI-native visibility, governance, and runtime protection for AI agents and model-connected applications across the agentic workspace. The combined platform unifies collaboration security, data security and governance, and AI security—extending controls from endpoints and browsers to MCP servers and local AI tools (e.g., OpenClaw, Ollama)—to help enterprises adopt generative AI securely while mitigating risks such as shadow AI, sensitive data exposure, IP loss, and AI-specific attacks like prompt injection and model manipulation.
