Bluesky blames app outage on ‘sophisticated’ DDoS attack

Bluesky experienced a sustained "sophisticated" DDoS attack starting April 15 that intermittently disrupted core features (feeds, notifications, threads, search); engineers mitigated the outage and the service remained stable after April 16. An Iran-linked group named 313 Team claimed responsibility, but Bluesky reported no evidence of unauthorized access to private user data and did not formally attribute the incident.
