Debt collection agency says data breach affected more than 4 million people

A data breach at Pennsylvania-based debt collector Financial Business and Consumer Solutions (FBCS) exposed personal and sensitive medical information for approximately 4,050,711 people after an unauthorized actor accessed the company network from Feb 14–26; exposed records reportedly include names, DOBs, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, medical claims and clinical information. FBCS has engaged third-party forensics, hardened systems, and is offering one year of credit monitoring to potential victims.
