USAID staff accuses DOGE of jeopardizing safety, accessing security clearance data

A lawsuit alleges that contractors from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) obtained root access to USAID systems, accessing and transferring extremely sensitive personnel and security-clearance information (including SSNs, passport data, foreign contacts, and financial records). Plaintiffs claim DOGE removed safety and security applications from staff devices, left hundreds unable to access email, and caused doxxing and operational harm to overseas personnel, while the complaint awaits refiling in federal court.
