New Jersey men given lengthy sentences for running North Korean laptop farms

Two U.S.-based facilitators operated a large-scale scheme from 2021–2024 that enabled North Korean IT workers to obtain positions at over 100 U.S. companies via stolen U.S. identities and hosted "laptop farms" using KVM switches for remote access; the operation resulted in theft of sensitive ITAR-controlled data from a defense contractor, generated over $5M for North Korea, and led to guilty pleas, prison sentences, forfeitures, and ongoing law enforcement actions including website seizures and reward offers.
