SafePal latest crypto hardware wallet maker affected by breach, with nearly 40,000 impacted

SafePal confirmed a data breach exposing nearly 40,000 customers' names, emails, phone numbers, shipping addresses and purchase details from orders placed between March 2, 2025 and April 11, 2026 due to a flaw in an order-tracking plugin; the issue has been remediated, affected users notified, and the company says wallets/seed phrases remain secure. Stolen records were advertised on a dark web forum and the company warned of likely targeted phishing, refund scams, fake support messages and an elevated risk of violent "wrench" attacks against impacted individuals.
