Regional healthcare systems report data breaches affecting more than 1.5 million

Two large healthcare organizations disclosed data breaches impacting a combined ~1.63 million patients: Community Health Center (1,060,936 records) and NorthBay Healthcare (569,012 records). Exposed information included names, contact details, diagnoses, test results, insurance and financial information, Social Security numbers, passports, and payment card data; NorthBay's attack was claimed by the Embargo ransomware gang and led to canceled appointments. Both organizations notified regulators and offered identity protection services to affected individuals.
