LexisNexis says hackers accessed legacy data in contained breach

LexisNexis Legal & Professional confirmed a security incident in which a threat actor accessed a limited number of servers and leaked approximately 2 GB of mostly legacy (pre-2020) data — including customer names, user IDs, business contact details, product information, support tickets and survey respondent IPs. The company says no Social Security numbers, financial data or search content were exposed, has engaged a forensic firm, notified impacted customers, and reported the matter to law enforcement.
