Dutch police trace Odido telco cyberattack to suspected local accomplice

Dutch police report evidence that Dutch criminals were involved in the February cyberattack on telecom provider Odido that exposed personal data of more than 6 million customers. Investigators say a Dutch-speaking man posed as an Odido IT employee to trick customer service into granting access to a compromised customer contact system used to download records; authorities have taken servers used to distribute the stolen data offline and continue the investigation.
