Hacker behind over 90 high-profile data leaks worldwide arrested in Thailand

Singaporean and Thai authorities, working with cybersecurity firm Group-IB, arrested a 39-year-old suspect (aliases ALTDOS, DESORDEN, GHOSTR, 0mid16B) accused of conducting more than 90 data breaches since 2021 that exposed over 13 TB of personal data across healthcare, retail, finance, logistics, insurance and recruitment sectors in multiple countries; the actor primarily extorted victims and sold stolen data on the dark web, and investigators seized electronic devices and luxury items reportedly bought with proceeds from the crimes.
