Education company Kaplan reports data breach impacting more than 230,000

Kaplan disclosed a cybersecurity incident in fall 2025 in which hackers had access to its servers from October 30 to November 18 and took files containing names, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license numbers; state notifications report about 230,941 people affected across multiple states, law enforcement was contacted, and class-action lawsuits have been filed.
