Video site Vimeo blames security incident on Anodot breach

Vimeo confirmed that an unauthorized actor accessed certain user and customer data after a breach at third-party analytics provider Anodot, a compromise tied to the ShinyHunters group; exposed items include technical data, video titles/metadata, and some customer email addresses, but not video content, user logins, or payment card information. Vimeo disabled Anodot credentials, removed the integration, engaged security experts, and notified law enforcement while the investigation continues.
