FBI wants more info on hackers behind Sophos exploitation after report on China’s intrusions

The FBI issued a public notice referencing Sophos reporting that China-linked researchers and state-associated APTs exploited edge-device vulnerabilities (including CVE-2020-12271) to deploy the Asnarök malware and conduct multi-year espionage campaigns targeting critical infrastructure, government, and private-sector networks worldwide; law enforcement has pursued servers used in the operations and is seeking information on the individuals responsible.
