Russia is seeking to label the Belarusian Cyber Partisans and Silent Crow as extremist organizations after the groups claimed a string of cyberattacks against Russian and Belarusian targets — most notably a July 2025 Aeroflot breach that forced cancellation of over 100 flights and reportedly involved destruction of airline IT systems and exfiltration of sensitive records. The move would outlaw their activities inside Russia, but the practical effect may be limited given the groups' online presence and public Telegram channels.
