California-based semiconductor testing company reports ransomware attack to SEC

Trio-Tech International disclosed that its Singapore subsidiary suffered a ransomware attack discovered on March 11 which encrypted files and escalated on March 18 when certain company data was reportedly disclosed; the company took its network offline, engaged cybersecurity experts and law enforcement, and is notifying affected parties while the full scope and financial impact remain unknown.
