Greek victims file lawsuit against Intellexa over Predator spyware

Eight Greeks sued spyware vendor Intellexa and associated individuals after traces of the Predator spyware were found on dozens of phones in 2022; the plaintiffs seek approximately €7.6 million for privacy and personal-data violations. The revelations prompted resignations in Greece, criminal sentences for Intellexa’s founder and associates (who remain free pending appeal), and public claims by the founder that Intellexa sold Predator only to government customers.
