US charges three Iranians allegedly behind Trump campaign hack

The U.S. Justice Department unsealed indictments charging three Iran-based nationals affiliated with the IRGC Basij for a multi-year spearphishing and hack-and-leak campaign that targeted the Trump campaign, current and former U.S. officials, journalists, and think tanks to steal and shop stolen documents in an effort to influence U.S. elections; the action was accompanied by sanctions, a $10M reward, and a joint U.S.-U.K. advisory on IRGC cyber tactics.
