New UK system will see ISPs benefit from same protections as government networks

The UK NCSC announced Share and Defend at CyberUK, a platform that shares curated blocklists of malicious domains—sourced from banks, commercial threat intelligence, and government-only feeds—with ISPs and organizations to automatically block phishing, credential-harvesting, and malware C2 sites. The initiative extends Protective DNS protections to high-risk individuals and the general public through participating providers (e.g., BT, Jisc), remains voluntary, and aims to raise national cyber resilience while encouraging continued user vigilance.
