Ukraine busts ‘bot farm’ supplying thousands of fake Telegram accounts to Russian spies

Ukrainian law enforcement dismantled a bot farm in Zhytomyr that allegedly supplied nearly 20,000 fake social media profiles and sold about 3,000 Telegram accounts monthly to Russian intelligence operatives for disinformation campaigns. Authorities arrested a suspect, seized computers, modems, USB hubs, nearly 2,000 SIM cards and phones, and said the fake accounts were used to spread propaganda, false mining alerts, and to support phishing and spyware targeting.
