Finnish investigators suspect Baltic Sea cable damage was intentional

Finnish authorities are investigating whether the oil tanker Eagle S intentionally severed multiple subsea cables after allegedly dragging its anchor for nearly 100 km, with the vessel detained, nine crew under travel bans, and onboard/underwater inspections largely completed; while some reports suggest accidents, the lead investigator told YLE that intent is suspected but no final attribution has been made as the probe continues.
