Japanese sportswear company Mizuno confirms data breach after 2024 ransomware claims

Japanese sportswear firm Mizuno reported a data breach discovered on November 6 after intruders had access from at least August 21; the BianLian ransomware gang claimed the attack and shared what it says are financial, HR and vendor records. Customer PII including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account information were reportedly stolen; affected individuals are being offered one year of identity protection, and the FBI has previously warned about BianLian activity.
