Nearly 3 million affected by Sav-Rx data breach

Sav-Rx experienced a network breach discovered on October 8 that exposed sensitive PII for 2,812,336 individuals (names, addresses, eligibility data, insurance IDs and Social Security numbers). The company says non-clinical systems were accessed, law enforcement and external cybersecurity experts were engaged, affected individuals were offered two years of Equifax credit monitoring, and the investigation concluded April 30; no ransom has been publicly confirmed.
