Researchers find Predator spyware is being used in several countries, including Iraq

Recorded Future’s Insikt Group reports that Intellexa’s Predator spyware remains active globally with identified customer activity in multiple countries (including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Angola and Mongolia), evolving infrastructure and domain naming practices that complicate detection, and new shell companies linked to distribution and delivery. The report highlights sanctions and legal actions against Intellexa, and Amnesty International research showing the vendor can access customer logs — raising human-rights and liability concerns about direct involvement in surveillance operations.
