Cryptocurrency ATM giant Bitcoin Depot reports $3.6 million stolen in cyberattack

Bitcoin Depot disclosed a March 23 cyberincident in which an unauthorized actor obtained credentials for corporate digital asset settlement accounts and transferred ~50.903 BTC (≈$3.665M) from company-controlled wallets; the company reports the breach was contained to its corporate environment, no customer platforms or data were affected, and external investigators and law enforcement have been engaged.
