Nearly 750k had financial info, SSNs leaked in South Carolina loan company breach

Heights Finance reported a May 7 breach of a third-party cloud platform that exposed sensitive personal and financial data for about 734,828 customers — including contact information, bank account and routing numbers, Social Security numbers, tax IDs and driver’s licenses. The company says loan-management systems were not impacted, has engaged a cybersecurity firm to monitor the dark web, and has not yet found evidence that the stolen information has been posted.
