China’s cyber capabilities now equal to the US, warns Dutch intelligence

The Dutch Defence Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) warns that China has reached parity with the United States in offensive cyber capabilities and is conducting sophisticated, often undetected campaigns—including Salt Typhoon and RedMike—that exploited routers and zero-day vulnerabilities (e.g., FortiGate/COATHANGER), targeting telecoms, universities, researchers and critical infrastructure while benefiting from PLA cyberspace restructuring.
