Leader of vast money mule operation that laundered cybercriminal proceeds pleads guilty

Oleg Korniev, a principal of the international mule network Your Mule Cashout (YMCO), pleaded guilty in U.S. federal court for operating a sophisticated money-laundering scheme that recruited over 15,000 unwitting money mules via fake job sites and laundered at least $10 million for cybercriminals who used malware to compromise 750 U.S. bank accounts; Korniev faces prison time and several co-conspirators were previously arrested or pleaded guilty.
