Nissan says a third-party vendor used by its North American dealerships was the subject of a claimed breach by the Everest hacking group, which alleges it stole 910 GB of data (including customer, dealership and loan information) and attempted to extort Nissan; Nissan reports no indication its own systems or customer data were compromised and is coordinating with the vendor as the vendor investigates. The claim is unverified and follows prior Nissan-related breaches in 2022–2024.
