58 arrested in international cybercrime crackdown

Interpol's Operation Jackal IV (November 2025–June 2026) coordinated law-enforcement actions across 22 countries, resulting in 58 arrests and the identification of hundreds of suspects; investigators disrupted money-laundering networks, seized assets (including electronic wallets holding $166M associated with a Romanian call-center operation), and uncovered organized groups such as Black Axe running romance, investment and sextortion scams that target elderly victims and minors.
