Kansas healthcare provider says more than 220,000 impacted by cyberattack

Sunflower Medical Group reported a December cyberattack that exposed sensitive information for nearly 221,000 patients; attackers were inside systems from mid-December, copied files, and the Rhysida ransomware gang claimed responsibility and demanded roughly $800,000, while the provider offered one year of credit monitoring and reported no operational disruptions.
