Morocco investigates major data breach allegedly by Algerian hackers

Morocco’s National Social Security Fund (CNSS) is investigating a cyberattack that allegedly exfiltrated 54,000 files containing personally identifiable information for nearly 2 million people; stolen materials were posted to Telegram and mirrored to underground forums. The hacker group JabaROOT claimed responsibility and framed the operation as politically motivated against Morocco, while security firms warn the intrusion may have exploited a zero-day or third-party (Oracle-based) vulnerability; CNSS has not publicly attributed the attack and investigations are ongoing.
