Cyberattack on Poland’s power grid hit around 30 facilities, new report says

Dragos and other cybersecurity firms report a coordinated late‑December cyberattack attributed to the Russian APT Sandworm that compromised control and communications systems at roughly 30 distributed energy facilities in Poland. The intruders used DynoWiper data‑wiping malware to disable equipment and impede remote monitoring and control; although Poland’s transmission backbone and overall power supply remained intact and outages were avoided, attackers caused site-level damage and demonstrated capabilities to target distributed energy resources.
