Ukraine grocery chain ATB confirms cyberattack as hackers threaten to leak data

Ukraine’s largest grocery retailer ATB was reportedly targeted by the financially motivated hacker group DataSuckers, who posted a $400,000 extortion demand and claimed to have exfiltrated data for roughly 7.9 million customers and employees (including contact details, password hashes, passport info, and order records). ATB says customer data was not compromised and temporarily took services offline for maintenance, but the attackers published samples on Telegram and threatened to sell the full dataset; the authenticity and scale of the breach could not be independently verified.
