Slovenian casinos reopen after cyberattack knocked gaming systems offline

Hit, one of Slovenia’s largest gambling and tourism groups, experienced a cybersecurity incident that forced six of its casinos to close for about three days; the company has since restored portions of its IT infrastructure but some gaming functions and the loyalty system remain offline. Hit has provided few details on the nature of the attack, whether any data was exfiltrated, or if a ransom was involved; Slovenian police have been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
