US indicts Maryland man for 2021 theft of $54 million from Uranium Finance

Jonathan Spalletta was indicted for exploiting smart-contract vulnerabilities in Uranium Finance during April 2021, carrying out two attacks that removed about $1.4M and $53.3M respectively, forcing the platform to shut down; he allegedly laundered funds using Tornado Cash and purchased high-value items later seized by the DOJ, which recovered roughly $31M of the stolen crypto.
